A few weeks ago Matt was in Nuremberg to check out BrauBeviale. While there he was struck with the presence that US hop growers had. Hop forward US style beers hardly have a presence in the very traditional German market. Was this presence an investment in the future of hops, trying to create a market for US hops and US styles in Germany, or a response to an already growing market?
