Moffat Beach Brewing, Hawkers Beer, Stomping Ground and WA’s Beerland were amongst the big winners of last night’s Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards.

They took home the coveted champion brewery trophies, whilst Beerland won the prize of the night, the Champion beer trophy, for the second time since 2018.

It was a record year for the awards, held at Melbourne Showgrounds last night and presented by Matt Kirkegaard and Kirrily Waldhorn, with a total of 2,634 entries from 355 exhibitors.

Melbourne Royal CEO Brad Jenkins said that the awards recognise the best brewers in the world across 35 trophies.

“These awards are the largest annual beer competition in the world assessing both draught and packaged beer.

“It is fabulous to see a positive uptick in Australian and international entries in spite of the ongoing global challenges of the past 12 months as well as the natural disasters that occurred across the north-east of Australia.

“Thank you to all the 355 breweries who entered the awards this year, with a special mention of the 245 Australian breweries.”
