Brewer's Perspective - Careers and Training October 2021

In this episode of Brewer’s Perspective we’re joined by Olivia Paris, People & Culture leader within Supply Chain at Lion and Richard Adamson, co-founder of Young Henrys and head of the IBA’s People Project Group.

Olivia’s career has spanned the science, retail, professional services and FMCG industries. She’s worked across people and culture, change management and operational management roles. She spends a lot of her time thinking about how to attract, develop and retain top-notch people within the brewing industry.

Apart from his work with Young Henrys and the IBA, Richard was also a founding member and vice president of the Inner West Brewers Association. He has also contributed to the development of the Certificate III in Microbrewing course delivered through TAFE NSW and continues to work there as a part-time teacher.

During our conversation, we break down the various pathways into the brewing industry and how people can utilise tools like education and training. We also touch on the importance of diversity and how the industry can improve upon providing opportunities.
