Bodriggy Brewing Co ‘Twin Harvest Release’
Bodriggy Brewing has dropped two new-release beers.
Zooter Doozy is a beer-wine hybrid brewed with pinot gris grapes from Little Reddie vineyard in Castlemaine. The pinot gris juice and skins were added in the early stages of a 48-hour kettle sour ferment. The beer has partly fermented off the back of the natural yeast sitting on the skins, which adds a barnyard-y flavour. Bodriggy describes this co-ferment as sour, zesty, puckery, and moreish.
Sun Buzz is a fresh hop Belgian Pale Ale with an “insane” amount of Enigma wet hops from Hop Products Tasmania. During transfer, 50kg of fresh Mornington blood plums was added in the hop back for colour and sweetness. The pairing of a subtle Belgian yeast with the earthy, resiny wet hops makes for a lively, pungent interpretation of a wet hop beer.
