The IBA, like the industry itself, has faced many challenges in the past year not only in relation to COVID-19 but also with issues of diversity in the industry, skills shortages and labelling controversies. We spoke to Richard about his aims and focuses for the IBA in the coming year in a wide-ranging discussion looking at the IBA’s new Code of Conduct, labelling obligations, and the importance and meaning of independence in today’s industry.
