GABS has opened entries for its 2021 Can Design Awards to celebrate creative can artwork from across Australia.

First launched last year, the awards aim to shine light on designers within the craft beer industry.

Little Bang Brewing Co. took home the trophy for best design in the inaugural awards year, for the design on its Face Inverter Citrus Super Sour.

Other breweries like Moon Dog Craft Brewery, Fixation Brewing Co. and Ballistic Beer Co. were all named amongst the top ten designs.

For this year’s awards, Australian breweries can submit one design from a beer released after 17th July 2020.

The winning brewery will receive a set of printing plates, while an additional $5,000 worth of prizes will be shared amongst the top ten.

The designer behind the winning can will also win $1000 in cash and a 12 months business directory subscription from Brews News.

Submissions are open now until Sunday, 26th September with winners being announced on Friday, 22nd October.
