Indies judging will take place at Moonee Valley Racecourse (Melb) from Monday, 26th September to Wednesday, 28th September.
Judges for the Indies are selected from the brewing industry and include brewers, sensory experts, suppliers, consultants and writers. Judges are selected based on their sensory abilities, industry and peer recognition, knowledge of beer styles and the brewing process, and their judging demeanour. Indies judges perform several important roles. They assess competition entries against stringent award criteria to determine winning beer entries. They are also expected to provide concise, accurate written feedback to breweries regarding their entries, describing both positive attributes as well as defects noted during the competition.
Applications close Friday August 12.
Judges will be selected by the Head Judge and Indies Advisory Committee from Expressions of Interest.
