Voting opens for GABS Hottest 100

GABS 2022 top three winners

Consumer voting has opened for the 15th edition of the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers People Choice Poll.

Voters can select five of their favourite beers from over 1,000 nominated by Australian breweries, and may also nominate any craft beer absent from this list.

All voters will also go into a draw to win a share of $5,000 in prizes.

Participating breweries are encouraged to campaign for votes however, can not offer any incentives of any value in exchange for votes. Promoting the poll in a way that can be perceived as doing so, is also not permissible.

To be eligible for the poll, all Australian craft beers must have been brewed and sold in Australia throughout the 2022 calendar year, regardless of ownership.

The results will be revealed on the Hottest 100 live podcast, hosted by Matt Kirkegaard, on Saturday, 28th January 2023, as GABS Countdown parties take place across the country.

In addition to the Hottest 100 list, GABS will release the Hottest 100 Indie Beers, Hottest 100 New Beers and Hottest Next Beers lists.

Last year’s countdown saw almost 50,000 consumers vote as 58 breweries made it onto the list. BentSpoke Brewing Co’s Crankshaft IPA won for the second year in a row, with Balter’s XPA coming in at second place and Your Mates Brewing Co’s Larry placing third.

This year’s countdown is supported by First Choice Liquor Market as the platinum sponsor, along with new supporting partners Klaviyo, Big Commerce, Vintage Cellars and Liquorland. They join long term major partner Dan Murphy’s and supporting partner BWS.

Voting for the poll is open from today, Wednesday 7th December until Friday, 20th January 2023.
