Celebrating 30 years of rewarding brewing excellence in 2023, entries for the Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards open on Tuesday 14 February.
To give brewers a head-start with planning their entries and production schedule, exciting changes for 2023 include:
- Every US Brewers Association Beer Style will have a Class
- The US Brewer’s Association Beer Style Guidelines have been updated
- Removal of Upper Limit +0.3% alcohol tolerance on stated ABV
Judging will take place in May at Melbourne Showgrounds. The best beers – from lagers to stouts, and everything in-between – will be determined through the judging process and announced at the trophy presentation evening at Victoria Pavilion on Thursday May 25.
The Australian International Beer Awards is the largest annual beer competition in the world assessing both draught and packaged beer. The Awards offer Australian and international brewers the opportunity to leverage success in the industry with the Melbourne Royal seal of excellence.
