Big Shed Brewing Concern Prepare for a Big 2015
Media Release
Big Shed Brewing Concern (BSBC) are preparing for a busy year after the recent launch of their Adelaide-based brew house and the hype of their homemade specialty craft beers.
Co-founded in 2014 by Jason Harris and Craig Basford, BSBC are the new kids on the block, focused on producing only the highest quality of craft products.
“It’s our mission to create unique craft beers that not only posses superb flavouring, but are also carefully handmade with the finest local ingredients,” says Harris.
Ranging from craft beers to sparkling cider, BSBC have formulated a collection of delicious beverages to entice all. BSBC currently have six brews available including ‘FrankenBROWN Ale,’ their maiden beer used to christen their brewery, which was recently awarded the 2014 Bronze Medal Winner at the Craft Beer Awards.
“While ‘FrankenBROWN’ is always a crowd pleaser, ‘F-Yeah’ and ‘Cherry Popper’ are recognized as BSBC’s most popular craft beverages to date,” says Basford.
“‘Cherry Popper’ is our latest brew, a sparkling cider using entirely Adelaide Hills fruit, and despite being 8.5%, ‘Cherry Popper’ is rather easy to drink, hence the origin of the name!”
BSBC’s brewery is located in Royal Park, with the premise available for other companies to utilize brewing facilities or to be hired out as a function space. Friday and Saturdays see BSBC transform from brewery into bar, as they open their doors to the public to sample their brews with all six now available on tap.
“Here at BSBC, we are relentlessly curious and are always keen to hear ideas for new brews and concept,” says Harris.
Rob Hunt is BSBC’s brewer, who after residing in Western Australia working for a well-known craft brewery, bought his knowledge and passion back to his hometown of Adelaide.
“I thrive on the opposing art verse science elements of brewing that are thrown up on a daily basis,” says Hunt.
“I am excited to perfect Big Shed’s core range but also cannot wait to introduce further new offerings that will hopefully convert more willing members to the craft beer movement.”
BSBC is located at 13/2 Brandwood St, Royal Park and is open Friday and Saturday afternoons until late.
