Announcement: Ballarat Beer Festival is back, new date

Something’s brewing in Ballarat. The fourth annual Ballarat Beer Festival is back, with a new date for 2015. Victoria’s original and favourite craft beer festival will be held over the Australia Day long weekend. Thousands of locals and out-of-towners are expected to descend upon the city once again to celebrate liquid gold onSaturday 24th January 2015, at the City Oval, Ballarat.

Early Bird tickets officially go on sale to the general public for the 2015 Ballarat Beer Festival onMonday 4th August at 9amvia Ticketek. Don’t delay, as the special Early Bird savings are available only untilSunday 24th August.

The Festival team is also excited to announce the first two bands on the bill. Performing on the day along with four other artists (soon to be revealed) will be one of Australia’s best blues musicians Ash Grunwald, plus Melbourne based nine piece soul act Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes.

Ash Grunwuld has carved a niche out of being one of the most exciting performers on the live circuit with his special blend of exhilarating and hypnotic blues sounds. For just one man and a guitar he certainly has a big sound that will stop you in your tracks. Particularly loved by Australian festival goers, he’s also made some big waves overseas. Ash has been delivering his unique blend of roots, beats and groove for over a decade. Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes are a captivating, sassy outfit playing high-voltage soul revivalist tunes, and will have you dancing into a sweaty mess in no time.

“This year we have finessed the event to include more interesting food, an amazing line up of talented bands and we believe it’s more appealing than ever before.”

Set in the picturesque township of Ballarat (110 kilometres from Melbourne), the Ballarat Beer Festival has become one of the town’s rising stars on the event scene and will yet again appeal to beer connoisseurs, and festival lovers alike.

The day consists of a gathering of expert brewers displaying their wares, an exciting new line up of gourmet food – including the return of local favourite Forges Pizzeria, education sessions run by beer experts imparting their well honed knowledge, a Kids Zone with activities galore, plus some of Australia’s finest bands performing on the main stage. The family friendly event kicks off at11amand concludes at8pm. That’s nine hours of quality entertainment. In addition to the beer, there will be beverages to suit all palates.

The 2015 Ballarat Beer Festival is bound to be another fabulous fun day out. With this specially handcrafted event offering world class brews, ciders, wines and gourmet food along with an eclectic entertainment line-up and family built activities, there’s something for everyone.
