Aussie craft beer festival at Bottle-O Lambton
The growing diversity of beer in Australia has seen a rapid increase of beer events, festivals, in-store tastings and microbrewery showcases in the past few years. Every month seems to bring on a new beer festival listing, offering their own slice of beer discovery, education and appreciation for drinkers. It is fantastic news for brewers and thirsty punters alike.
The little bottleshops that stock and promote the emerging craft beers are a vital player in the success of the small brewery industry, introducing consumers to new flavours, unfamiliar styles and a different way of approaching beer rather than just buying another slab of lager.
The latest bottleshop to turn their hand to a one day showcase of beer is The Bottle-O Lambton, near Newcastle in NSW.
Their first beer festival will be held on Saturday 22nd September with a showcase of Aussie craft beers. You will be able to sample a range of beers from 12 Australian breweries whilst enjoying a BBQ. There will also be lucky door prizes, expert beer advice and more in-store goodies.
Featured breweries include Murray’s Craft Brewing (NSW), Moo Brew (Tas), Stone & Wood (NSW), Little Creatures (WA), Pigs Fly (NSW), Coopers (SA), Balmain Brewing (NSW) and more.
