This week on Beer is a Conversation we have a frank conversation with Feral Brewing founder and, as of today, former owner, Brendan Varis.
Brendan founded Feral in 2002, and has been proud to run it as a family owned, independent brewery, “beholden to no one but ourselves“.
He is has been a major contributor to the Australian brewing scene, not least as a board member of the former Craft Beer Industry Association and as Chief Judge of the Australian International Beer Awards.
In a no holds barred interview, Brendan discusses the sale, why he made the decision to sell, why Coca-Cola and what it means for the brewery and for the broader beer industry.
