The 5th Ingredient Announces Innovative New Features with Version 10 Rollout

The 5th Ingredient® announced the release of Version 10 (v10) of their Beer30® and Bucha30® Software today. The new update offers a variety of fully customizable features and represents a major milestone in the ongoing development of the software with the introduction of the “Demand Planning” Module and KPI Scorecards.

Beer30 and Bucha30 v10 offer improved planning and coordination between Sales, Purchasing, and Production. The new Demand Planning module helps breweries reduce their cost of goods by providing the freshest product possible exactly when the sales team needs it. This powerful tool gives you better visibility into your materials and supplies, production timelines, sales forecasts, and product demand. The new Demand Report answers the questions:

  1. What is the brewery’s sales forecast?
  2. How much beer does the brewery need to produce in BBLs / HL / L?
  3. What is the packaging format needed?
  4. When are finished products needed?
  5. Does the brewery have the right raw materials and packaging supplies?

The module leverages data-driven algorithms to provide accurate and reliable forecasts, empowering breweries to optimize production, reduce waste, and maximize profitability.

“A tool like this Beer30 Demand Planning module would have been a total game changer in my former role,” said Zach Volkman, current Head of Revenue Operations at The 5th Ingredient, and former COO of O’Connor Brewing Company. “Our management team spent hours every week trying to keep production plans and sales forecasts aligned across multiple flagship beers, rotating seasonals, and tons of packaging formats, all while trying to factor in seasonality and trends in the market. Despite our efforts and multiple spreadsheets, we often missed the mark. Whether it was missed sales or expired beer down the drain, underproduction and overproduction were both huge problems. Beer30 and the new Demand Planning module was the missing link.”

With Beer30’s announcement of partnership and integration with the Craft Portal by GP Analytics and Vermont Information Processing back on December 28, 2022, this new Demand Planning Module will keep the momentum going to take the external data sources from VIP to help a brewery continue to improve and fine-tune its sales plan and forecast.

The software update will also introduce KPI Scorecards. With this feature, brewery managers can select key performance indicators (KPIs) and keep team members on track with instant visibility into the metrics that matter most. Breweries can now easily measure sales performance, production efficiency, and other valuable metrics. The scorecard is fully customizable, allowing managers to tailor the KPIs to fit their specific needs and goals at their brewery.

“The KPI Scorecard is letting brewery owners finally take their 100s of data points in Beer30 and get a customizable dashboard to help them improve their performance and efficiency. One of the main reasons I began this company and launched the Beer30 software was to provide these data points to brewers at their fingertips” said Pulkit K. Agrawal (PKA), Founder & CEO of The 5th Ingredient. “Our customers have been asking for better KPI scorecards and more sophisticated demand forecasting capabilities, and we’ve listened. With Beer30 v10, we’re delivering a customizable suite of tools that will help breweries of all sizes run their operations more efficiently and effectively.”

Beer30 and Bucha30 Software v10 are both available now.
