Critics Choice Top 100: Australia's best beer
Number one in the Critics’ Choice Top 100 is the Feral Hop Hog. With almost 60 new beers in the top 100 the Hop Hog managed to keep the number one spot for the second year running. More proof, if it was needed, of what an amazing beer this is.
The brewer’s notes explain ‘Originally a beer style brewed in Britain and shipped off to colonial India, our Hop Hog is an American incarnation of the India Pale Ale with strong pine needle and citrus aroma followed by an aggressive bitterness and a dry finish.’
Pete Mitcham writes: Can’t. Find. Words. It’s all been said so many times before. Best. Beer. Again. Perfectly balanced, hoppy and fresh, firm bitterness and a pleasing dry finish. Champion Ale, Champion Ale, Critics’ Choice #1 last year. How’s that? Can I go and get one for myself now?
