Entries are about to close for the 2012 Sydney Royal Beer Competition. Entries have been extended to all brewers until Friday 16 December 2011.

The Sydney Royal Fine Food Show showcases Australia’s finest produce, rewarding the best of the best with a coveted Sydney Royal Gold Medal. Run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, the Sydney Royal Beer Competition will be judged on Wednesday 22 February 2012.

There are 26 bottled and draught classes available to enter which include:

• Golden Lagers
• Dark Lagers
• Pale/Golden Ales
• Amber and Dark Ales
• Stouts and Porters
• Wheat Beers
• Strong Beers
• Reduced Alcohol Beer
• Other / Specialty Beers
