Fosters would not appear to be sitting on their hands in the wake of the Board’s recommendation that shareholders accept SABMillers takeover offer, with a new beer set for release before the end of the year.

Australian trademark records reveal that on 15 September the company lodged an application to trademark the name ‘Victoria Pale Lager’, together with the bottle design (below).

No details about the beer or release date have been released, though the impending takeover would does not seem to have interrupted the launch plans.
