And what a year it’s been for craft beer! With breweries popping up in all corners of the country, pushing the boundaries of style, technique and creativity, there’s never been a better time to be a craft beer drinker.

Here at GABS Beer, Cider & Food Fest, we’re all about sharing our love of craft beer. Now we invite you to share your favourite beers with us.

WHAT’S THE HOTTEST 100 CRAFT BEERS ALL ABOUT?

Inspired by that other ‘Hottest 100’ countdown, this annual tradition began in 2008 as a bit of fun for staff and customers at The Local Taphouse, a renowned craft beer bar in St Kilda, Melbourne. Since those early days, the poll has grown alongside the booming craft beer industry to become a juggernaut, seeing tens of thousands of craft beer fans vote for their five favourite beers of the year, then watch as the results are counted down in January.

HOW DO I VOTE?

Choose your five favourite beers of the year from the drop down menus. There are over 1700 beers from more than 190 breweries. You can search the selection by typing in the brewery or beer name.

Please vote for five different beers (there are lots to choose from!), and if you can’t find your favourite beer in the poll, hit the SUGGESTION BOX link, and we’ll look straight into it.

Make sure your enter your details (a valid email address must be supplied for the votes to be counted) and hit SUBMIT. Too easy!

Voting closes at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 18 January 2019. Be sure to encourage your friends to vote as well, and increase your chances of winning!

WHEN’S THE COUNTDOWN?

Once the votes are in, we’ll count down the results from 100 to 1 on SUNDAY 27 JANUARY 2019.

You can follow along online at gabsfestival.com, listen to a live countdown podcast at Radio Brews News, or join us to celebrate at one of many craft beer bars and brewpubs around the country.

In addition to the Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers, we’ll also release the Hottest New Beers (released for the first time in 2018), Hottest Indie Beers (released by independent breweries) and Hottest Next Beers (beers that placed from 101-200).
