Hip Hop Hooray Festival at The Alehouse Project
Melbourne’s newest specialty beer bar, The Alehouse Project, has announced their first mini-festival with a four day celebration of hoppy beers for the local hop heads.
The venue opened last month after owners Andy Tynan and Alex Summers took over the bar formally known as The Comfortable Chair. Through a significant refurbishment, they reinvented the small space as the newest craft beer haven for residents of and visitors to Melbourne’s inner north. Their custom designed direct pour beer system of 12 taps, which will all be dedicated to hoppy beers from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th of August, will regularly rotate across the latest and greatest from local and international craft brewing as well as featuring mainstays from the likes of Little Creatures, Mountain Goat and Temple Brewing.
The Hip Hop Hooray festival starts on Thursday 23rd August and will feature an I.P.A tap-takeover along with specially matched beer food by chef Adele Stevens, beer prizes, live music and other specials across the weekend.
Six of the beer taps will pour renowned hophead ales whilst the other six will feature specialty and one of a kind beers.
