Lost and Grounded beer coming to Australia
Lost and Grounded, the UK brewery founded by former Little Creatures head brewer Alex Troncoso, is exporting to Australia.
Square Keg has announced the Bristol brewery’s flagship beer, Keller Pils, will arrive early February in both kegs and 330ml bottles.
“The co-founders of Lost and Grounded, Alex Troncoso and Annie Clements, have known the team behind Square Keg and Stone & Wood for many years and they are excited to have them help spread the love of good lager in Australia,” Square Keg said.
Lost and Grounded was established in 2016, with backing from Made by HAND, the investment vehicle created by the founders of Little Creatures.
Its beers are currently available in the UK, Sweden and France. The flagship Keller Pils is inspired by the unfiltered lagers [keller biers] of Bavaria, with Lost and Grounded’s interpretation using German pilsner malt and traditional hop varieties including Hallertauer Mittelfruh.
“The result is an unfiltered lager which is lemony, hoppy and distinctive which is described simply as ‘Hop Bitter Lager Beer’,” according to Square Keg.
Square Keg managing partner Garry Hastings said Lost and Grounded Brewers has a unique approach to both brewing and branding, with a particular slant towards lager and Belgian-inspired ales.
“This first shipment is solely dedicated to Keller Pils which is a statement of intent: great lager is on the way,” he said.
