After maxing out the smallest output to brewery footprint ratio in the country at Modus’ Mona Vale facility, owners Grant and Jaz Wearin did not hesitate on future proofing volume in their state of the art facility in Newcastle’s suburb of Merewether. Whilst most of the 5+ million litres (with ability to produce upwards of 10 million litres p.a) is allocated for Modus Beer, Modus Cerveza, Perky Seltzer and non-alcoholic beer, NORT, there is opportunity for limited partner brewing which they are currently welcoming expressions of interest for summer 2022 and into the future.

Consistency, quality and efficiency is at the forefront of the brewery with a highly automated 3 vessel 40 hectolitre brewhouse and Fermecraft controlled fermentation cellar. Batch sizes start from 40hL and there is flexibility to cater for a wide range of brewing requirements for the right partners with industry leading tech and support.

Current packaging capabilities include standard and sleek aluminium cans on Modus’ counter pressure CODI filler with a packaging line upgrade from Krones/Kosme imminent which will provide the added ability to package into glass bottles using industry leading filling technology. Multiple sized keg formats are also catered for on a Comac keg washer filler. Expect best in class QC with an extensively equipped lab operated by a best in class team.

Modus is experienced in making a wide range of beer styles, seltzers, RTD’s and other carbonated beverages and can provide assistance with recipe development, as required. Due to our extensive experience with NORT non-alcoholic beer, we have leading recipe IP and gentle pasteurisation, as required, to ensure product stability in ambient shelf
environments.
