Art vs Science vs Beer | Burnley Brewing
It was brewed exclusively for BeerFest 2019/2020 to mark the 20-year anniversary of Art vs. Science’s self-titled EP.
The brew has a high hop flavour using 06277 (formerly Denali), Citra and Mosaic hops.
Burnley’s brewers say it has an aroma of pineapple, citrus and pine, with a very low bitterness – coming in at 8 IBUs.
The 4.2% abv beer comes in 355ml cans.
New Age IPA | Dainton Beer
It has an abv of 0.9% and Dainton said it was brewed to encourage men to share and be more open when it comes to their emotions.
Hops used include Galaxy, Chinook and Citra Lupulin.
Dainton explained it had achieved the low alcohol volume using a very high mash temp and lots of crystal and dextrin malt, with the reasonably high final gravity.
The brew will be available 15th November at the Dainton Brewery and from Victorian stockists, interstate 22th November for interstate.
Beached Az Brew | Modus Operandi
Modus Operandi Brewing Co has teamed up with the team behind the cult ABC animation Beached Az for their latest release.
One dollar of every pint sold and twenty cents from each can sold will go towards a number of charities throughout the year.
The 4.5% abv brew is a tropical and citrus pale ale, made with Vic Secret and Moutere hops, to demonstrate the New Zealand and Australian hop profiles.
It will launch on 15th November at Wings and Tins Dee Why, alongside a series of launches in conjunction with beach clean ups.
How’s it Gosen? | BentSpoke Brewing Co
BentSpoke’s latest release, How’s it Gosen? is a tropical gose.
It is the summer release of the Drifter series, a range of beers that will change with the season.
The 4% abv gose has a sour, salty profile and includes Amarillo hops, fresh mango and passionfruit.
Stock is currently rolling out in the Australian Capital Territory with other states close behind.
Utopia | Bodriggy Brewing Co
Bodriggy Brewing Co is set to release its latest brew, Utopia, on the 21st of November.
The tropical pale ale includes Mosaic, Calypso and Azacca hops with pineapple, guava and passionfruit flavours.
The can design was created by Mathis Creative Designs, who designed a full landscape on the can honouring parks in Melbourne, including Edinburgh Gardens.
Black Sheep Project | Ballistic Beer
Black Sheep Project is a NZ XPA created with Taiheke and HORT4337 hops, over a pale malt base.
With 5.9% abv, it has a firm bitterness, dry finish and feature notes of grapefruit, peach and lime.
It is available to purchase now in singles or four packs, exclusively at Black Sheep Bottle shop.
M.I.A IPA and Sweetart Sour Ale | Bright Brewery
Bright Brewery’s M.I.A IPA has made the move over to 375ml cans and will become part of Bright’s core range, available year round.
The hop-forward AIPA has dropped down from 7% to 6.5% abv and includes tropical flavours with Simcoe, Cascade, Citra and Mosaic hops.
It is named after Bright’s former brewer who went missing while paragliding on the day his beer was due to be kegged.
Available now to purchase on Bright’s online store and from selected stockists.
Brights second release, Sweetart Sour is a 4.3% abv raspberry sour ale.
It has been brewed with Pale, Munich and Wheat Malt and is made using Crystal hops and American Ale yeast.
Other additions include lactobascillus and raspberry puree.
It is available now in both kegs and cases of bottles at selected stockists.
Royal Haze | Beerfarm
Royal Haze is Beerfarm’s newest release, a hazy IPA brewed as an ode to the ‘good old days’ in the great South West.
It has an abv of 5.8% and was created using Citra, El Dorado and Mosaic hops.
It’s mild bitterness is accompanied with fruity esters, boosted from a low flocculating English yeast.
Available now at selected stockists.
2019 Kingston Black | Willie Smith’s
Willie Smith’s Cider Makers have released the latest vintage of small batch cider Kingston Black.
The Huon Valley cidermakers planted English heirloom apple varieties six years ago to bring “greater complexity” into its traditional-style ciders.
The 2019 Kingston Black is a single varietal cider which Willie Smith’s says has a “striking aroma and complex flavour profile”.
Willie Smith’s co-founder Sam Reid said he expects the apple variety to do to the Tasmanian cider industry what Pinot Noir did for Tasmania’s wine reputation.
Available via the Willie Smith’s website, at its Apple Shed venue in Grove, Tasmania and independent retailers Australia wide from Friday 15th November.
The Willie Smith’s team will also be serving this latest release at events over the summer including the Big Design Market (Melbourne, 6-7 December), the Taste of Tasmania (Hobart) and Festivale in Launceston.
