Warners At The Bay Boutique Beer Festival
The annual Warners At The Bay Boutique Beer Festival returns in November for its 5th year.
The popular Sunday afternoon event, which also closes the first Newcastle Craft Beer Week this year, will bring together over 80 beers and ciders from 25 suppliers.
Craft and boutique beers from local brewers such as Murray’s and the Hunter Beer Company can be tasted alongside beers from across Australia. Mountain Goat, Holgate Brewhouse, Feral Brewing, Burleigh Brewing, McLaren Vale are just some of the interstate offerings that will sit alongside renowned international beers imported by suppliers including Innspire and Hop & Spirit.
This mini expo of beer also provides punters with an opportunity to taste beers from NSW based microbreweries that producing beers which are rarely found beyond their local pubs and bottleshops, such as Ekim Brewing Co, Happy Goblin Brewery, Black Duck Brewery.
The annual festival is driven by Mark Mead, Manager of the Warners At The Bay Bottleshop, which is a good beer haven for residents in the Newcastle region. The bottleshop stocks a range and variety of beers of the like rarely seen outside of Melbourne or Perth. It also has Australia’s largest growler filling station.
Recently, Mark joined with Corey Crooks from Newcastle’s Albion Hotel to create Newcastle Craft Beer Week, which runs from Monday 21st November to Sunday 27th November. The 7 day celebration showcases the growing local interest in craft beer with a program of beer themed events running throughout the week across 11 venues.
