Zoo Brew roars into Sydney
Tickets are still available for Zoo Brew at Taronga Centre this weekend, including Friday’s degustation dinner.
Zoo Brew will showcase over 20 breweries including BentSpoke, Balter, Young Henry’s, Scharer’s Little Brewery, Beer Farm, Two Birds Brewery, Lord Nelson, Stone & Wood, Nomad, Hargreaves Hill, The Australian Brewery, Australian Beer Co, Matilda Bay and Monteith’s.
The three-day festival will officially launch with a beer degustation dinner on Friday 21 July, followed by two festival sessions on both Saturday July 22 and Sunday July 23.
Friday’s dinner will feature a menu created to match the best of the Australian winter season, starting with a light dish of organic winter vegetables and fresh Meredith goats curd to be perfectly matched with lighter style ales.
The next courses will then move east across the globe and celebrate the fragrant spices and herbs of traditional Mexican, Chinese and Indian cuisine. Full menu details are available here.
Tickets to all events are still available with festival entry priced at $40 per person and the beer degustation dinner $150 per person. Limited designated driver tickets, including parking, will also be available for $20 each. A portion of proceeds will support Taronga Conservation Society Australia’s wildlife conservation activities.
Zoo Brew is the first in a series of Taronga Centre’s ‘Taste the Wild’ events, which focus on sustainable and ethical sourcing of quality products. In an effort to minimise waste, a re-usable glass tasting cup and recyclable tasting tickets will be provided to all guests, and food packaging will be recyclable.
Event partners for the Zoo Brew Festival with Taronga Centre are craft beer favourites Royal Albert Hotel and Dave’s Brewery Tours.
