Batch Brewing launches Chapeau 2017
Batch Brewing Company has released the 2017 vintage of its popular sour raspberry farmhouse ale, Chapeau.
Batch has traditionally brewed Chapeau, meaning ‘hats off’ in French, every December as a thank you to its loyal supporters.
“Tonnes of raspberries go into it, it’s an expensive beer to make. It’s a special beer to us and it just so happens that it has also become super popular,” says Batch’s Andrew Fineran.
Pouring a festive bright red, Chapeau will this year be packaged on December 15, the same day it premieres at Batch’s taproom.
“Come in and buy it fresh off the line. We’re only producing limited quantities this year so make sure you get your supply,” says Fineran.
Chapeau is also pouring at Sydney’s Royal Albert Hotel from Friday December 15.
