Beer DeLuxe is coming to Sydney Airport

In an Australian airport first, Sydney Airport has announced, following an extensive tender process, a new signature Beer DeLuxe bar and dining concept will open at Australia’s busiest airport terminal, T2 Domestic departures.

Due to open for Easter 2018, the contemporary offering has been custom designed for Sydney Airport by Australian Venue Co. This will be the third Beer Deluxe in New South Wales, in addition to the two sites in Victoria, including the brand’s flagship location in Melbourne’s Federation Square.

The Australian Venue Co. and Beer DeLuxe teams are set to deliver a relaxed bar experience with the largest selection of tap and bottled beers in an Australian airport. More than 120 varieties of beer will be available including quality Australian craft beers Quickdraw Lager and Hawthorn Pale Ale as well as bottles varietals from the likes of Holgate Brewing, Mornington and Bridge Road Breweries, to name a few.

Like its sister venues, Beer DeLuxe at Sydney Airport will be offering guests an ever-changing list, with seasonals and specialty beers set to change regularly on their rotating taps. An impressive range of international and Australian wine will also be available plus the opportunity for passengers to purchase wines and beers to take home should they wish.

Breakfast DeLuxe will prove to be a great addition to the airport’s options also, with all the classic breakfast favourites available from early morning. Blurring the lines of traditional pub fare, Beer DeLuxe will offer the busy T2 passenger quick and easy small bites through to more substantive fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner using fresh and ethically sourced ingredients and products. The menu will include vegetarian, gluten and dairy-free options catering for the diverse passenger mix.

Menu highlights include pan-roasted mushrooms, Persian fetta and parsley salsa on sourdough, along with classics like eggs Benedict or the egg and bacon brekkie burger. For lunch and dinner, passengers can feast on Beer DeLuxe’s famous range of burgers, along with grazing bites like panko crumbed chicken, fried squid or Korean BBQ beef bao buns and more.

Australian Venue Co CEO Paul Waterson said “the Beer DeLuxe concept provides a fresh take on the traditional airport pub experience”

“I am very pleased to bring the Beer DeLuxe concept to Sydney Airport’s T2, and feel confident the new offering will resonate with passengers, visitors and staff,” Mr Waterson said.

“The aim was to tailor a contemporary concept that would enhance the airport experience, creating a relaxing space for customers to relax while enjoying a wide selection of quality beverages and delicious fare.”

The interior is a contemporary take on a welcoming and traditional hospitality space. With natural and textural finishes including painted timbers, natural stone, a wooden ceiling and deep blue leathers scattered with indoor plants to create a fresh and inviting dwell space for passengers.

Customers will have the option to perch on a high bar or recline in one of the leather banquettes, whilst full height windows provide expansive views of the airfield. You can catch a glimpse of the chefs hard at work in the kitchen through the open pass, adding an element of visual theatre to the venue.

The concept has been developed by Australian Venue Co, best known as one of the largest hospitality groups in Australia with a portfolio of 50+ venues across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Beer Deluxe will be located in Sydney Airport T2 Domestic Departures and operate daily from 5am to 10pm.
