For the second year in a row, Braddon-based BentSpoke has been awarded the title of ‘Best Quality Beer’ in the Craft/Local category at the Australian Hotels Association ACT Hospitality Awards.
AHA ACT judges conduct multiple site visits and judging criteria for the award includes freshness, cleanliness, beer presentation and correct beer-pouring technique.
“It’s great to be recognised for the quality of our beer,” says head brewer and co-owner Richard Watkins. “From the brew team to the front of house team, it takes a lot to deliver a complete beer experience, and the award is a testament to the amazing staff we have here at BentSpoke.”
“Five years on, we are still excited to come to work every day, and I think that our passion for brewing really comes through in the final product,” says co-owner Tracy Margrain, who heads up all the brewing at Braddon brewpub.
