Top selling IPA arrives
Drinks distributor Square Keg is expanding the range of products it distributes from one of the leading US craft brewers, New Belgium Brewing.
Amongst the new products is the brewer’s runaway success New Belgium Citradelic IPA – a tangerine IPA in both bottles and cans, plus the recently launched Voodoo Ranger IPA which is also available in bottles and cans.
New Belgium’s flagship amber ale brand, Fat Tire, is also now available in cans in addition to the previously available bottles.
Square Keg Managing Partner, Garry Hastings says, “we have been working closely with the New Belgium team for some time to gain access to these products, and given how huge the demand for a brand like Citradelic is over there, we are very fortunate to be able to distribute them here in Australia.”
Since its launch in January 2016, Citradelic Tangerine IPA has taken the US craft beer scene by storm, with it being the biggest craft beer brand launch of the year. It has rapidly grown to become New Belgium’s second- best selling brand.
“Late last year New Belgium announced that it had revamped its Ranger IPA as Voodoo Ranger and is currently launching it across the country, so we are excited to be able to launch it here in Australia within weeks of it hitting the market back in the US. Extending Fat Tire into cans is the next step in our long term plans to build New Belgium’s flagship beer in this marketplace as well”, says Garry.
Casey Kjolhede, New Belgium Brewing Co’s Market Development Manager says “with a growing interest in IPA in Australia, our new offerings are aimed at tapping into the thirst for fresh, hop forward beers. These releases reinforce the strong relationship between New Belgium and Square Keg and help highlight that both businesses are very excited about the future of the New Belgium brand in Australia.”
