So the brewers of the High Country Brewery Trail have banded together to cheer you up in isolation. Introducing the High Country at Home Can-Demic Case!

We know you’d rather be here with us, enjoying the spectacular High Country Autumn and early season snowfall but, until life returns to normal, a Can-Demic Case is the next best thing.

Not only will you enjoy 24 cans of handcrafted High Country beer and cider, it’s a delicious way to show your support for the independent High Country brewers who have suffered more than most this year.

While some faced losing their breweries to bushfire, and others had to close and evacuate during the busiest season of the year, all are now enduring an extended full or partial closure of their business during the COVID-19 crisis.

But back to the good stuff…

The High Country at Home Can-Demic Case has been hand-selected to give you a taste of the High Country in the comfort of your home.

• Black Dog Brewery (Taminick, Vic)
• Blizzard Brewing Co (Dinner Plain, Vic)
• Alpine Cider (Wandiligong, Vic)

Bright Brewery marketing manager Laura Gray said the Can-Demic Case was perfect for those beer lovers who were missing their trips to the High Country.

“This is such a spectacular time of year in the High Country, and it’s also a time when our local breweries are turning out some of their best brews, so it’s devastating that we can’t share that with visitors this year,” Ms Gray said.

“But the Can-Demic Case allows us to send 24 little pieces of the High Country out into people’s homes, which will hopefully help to tide them over until we can welcome them back up here with open arms.”

Each of the four breweries are long-time members of the High Country Brewery Trail, which encompasses eight High Country breweries who work collaboratively on projects to drive visitation to the High Country’s many spectacular breweries throughout the year.

“At this time of year, we’d all normally be welcoming brewery tours through the High Country, getting ready for the Darker Days festival, and working together on our annual collaboration brew, but with all that now on ice, the Can-Demic Case was born,” Ms Gray said.

So what’s in the case?

If we told you that, it wouldn’t be a surprise! What you can count on is receiving 24 super-fresh cans (330ml-375ml) of premium High Country beer from breweries and a cidery who are doing it tough this year. But one thing is for sure – they’re still brewing great beer!

Each pack will include a mix of styles, including lagers, ales, sours, and ciders. A detailed list of all beers/ciders, including tasting notes and food pairing suggestions, will be included.
