Sydney has its own beer, and week.
Sydney Beer Week, helmed for the second year by Dave’s Events, has collaborated with the Australian Brewery to create the first official Sydney Beer Week beer.
‘Table Beer’ is brewed to be a light and delicate ale with subtle yeast character. Brewed with experimental hop HPA – 016 the beer delivers flavours of lemon peel and fresh mandarin.
At 4.2% this beer is an Australian rendition of a Grisette and will be available at all good Sydney beer week events.
Packaged in cans as well as on tap the can art is a tribute to this beautiful harbour city and the celebration of all things beer during Sydney beer week.
Supported by Australian suppliers HPA, Bintani, Multi Colour and of course in conjunction with Sydney Beer Week. The beer was a true collaboration between head brewer Dan Shaw and GM of Sydney Beer Week Liam Pereira.
The aim was to create a beer that was accessible but offered enough expression of flavour to reflect the ever evolving Sydney beer market. The style was selected as a perfect beer for the season.
Similar but lighter than a Saison the Grisette still has conspicuous yeast character and is quite hoppy.
The beer will be featuring at the Sydney beer week opening gala and at events all around Sydney.
It will be on tap at the Inner West – War Our West event happening at the Brewery and will be on tap during the Boilermaker Brunch at the Dove and Olive in Surry Hills.
Gala Launch, October 26 is the official launch of Sydney Beer Week.
Inner west – War out West at the brewery Sunday 28/11. Six brewers from the inner west compete for the inaugural war out west trophy.
Brunch Boilermakers at the Dove and Olive, Surry Hills 3/11 – Collaboration with Glenfiddich tickets are $29.99. Three craft beers paired with three whiskies, demos from brewers and whisky brand ambassadors.
